Supporting Indian dog breeds through rescue and awareness
1/9

Our mission is to dismantle the 'stray menace' myth and replace it with 'Indie Love.' We’re on a quest to vaccinate, sterilize, and educate until every Indian street dog is seen as a resident rather than a refugee. JOIN THE PACK!
Got questions? Don’t let them sit and stay—Bark at us! Our team is ready to wag their tails in your direction."
Indies, or Indian Pariah Dogs, are native to the Indian subcontinent. They are a "landrace" breed, meaning they evolved naturally over thousands of years without human intervention, making them incredibly hardy.
Standard requirements include a government-issued photo ID, address proof, and a signed adoption agreement. Some NGOs also require a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) from your Resident Welfare Association (RWA) or landlord. answer to this item.
Yes. Under Indian law and Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) guidelines, RWAs cannot ban pets or specific breeds from apartments.
It is suggested and appealed that you return the dog to the concerned NGO rather than abandoning it on the street. Most will conduct follow-up checks to ensure the dog’s well-being.

At prakriti heritage foundation, our mission is to provide education and resources to support mental health and wellness in our community.

We offer a variety of programs and services to support mental health, including counseling, support groups, and educational workshops.

Over the past year, we have helped over 1,000 individuals in our community improve their mental health and well-being.

Ok let’s be honest: your fancy purebred is currently scared of a toaster, while the Indie outside just successfully negotiated a peace treaty with a group of territorial crows and a delivery driver.
We’re turning "stray" into "slay" by showing the world that these local legends aren't just part of the scenery—they’re our neighbors. And like any good neighbor, they’ll only bark at you if you’re acting suspicious or if a leaf falls particularly aggressively.

What is Virtual Adoption?
Virtual Adoption is a sponsorship program that lets you support a specific indie dog in our care — without physically taking them home. You become their named sponsor, covering the cost of their food, veterinary visits, medicines, and enrichment. In return, you receive regular updates and a certificate of adoption, making you a genuine part of that dog's life and wellbeing

(1) Monthly financial sponsorship directly allocated to your adopted dog's food, routine vet visits, medicines/supplements, and toys;
(2) Regular photo and video updates of your dog shared via WhatsApp and email; and
(3) A digital Certificate of Adoption in your name, recognising you as their official sponsor.

We offer two sponsorship tiers. The Base Tier is Rs. 1,500 per month, covering daily food, routine vet visits, deworming, medicines, and toys for one indie dog (15-20 kg). The Premium Tier is Rs. 2,500 per month, which includes everything in the Base Tier plus emergency veterinary care and annual vaccinations. Both tiers are open-ended with no fixed term. We also offer a Co-Sponsorship option at Rs. 500 per month, designed for students and those with limited budgets. Multiple supporters collectively sponsor one dog. While the dog is shared among co-sponsors, each supporter receives updates and is acknowledged as a contributor to that dog's care.
